Jewel Bazilio-Bellegarde was a woman of profound compassion, unwavering faith, and a deep belief in the power of quality education to transform lives. Throughout her career and personal journey, she mentored, inspired, and uplifted others—especially women and girls—by leading with humility, intelligence, and grace.
The HavServe HavIt Legacy Scholarship - Jewel Bazilio Bellegarde Scholarship was created to carry forward her commitment to equity, leadership, and learning. In her memory, we are opening doors for young women in Haiti to pursue their dreams through full university scholarships—empowering the next generation to build a better future for themselves and their communities.
In partnership with Université Publique des Nippes (UPNip), the scholarship provides:
- Four years of full tuition, US $250 per student, per academic year
- Academic supplies and learning tools
- Mentorship and community-based support
This fund is more than a financial resource for young women and men, it is a tribute to Jewel’s legacy—a reflection of the values she lived and the future she believed in.
